"This outreach targets 30 PPOP athletes from various sports," he expressed, Sunday (12/24).

In the future, they were expected to be become volunteers in disseminating information about HIV treatment and erasing negative stigma in society towards PLHIV. Thus, the target of an Aids-free Jakarta by 2027 could be achieved.

"Hope it can also be useful in improving athletes' insight and awareness of the HIV virus," he hoped.

Jakarta Dispora's Youth Sector Head, Joko Margosantoso added this socialization was very good for the athletes.

By so, athletes would have the knowledge and understanding of HIV so they could participate in preventing transmission of the disease from an early age.

"Hopefully, the same activity can be a routine agenda," he stated.
